Questions about the daytime school? Print

The following list of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) provides more information about the daytime school. If this doesn't answer questions you may have please get in touch using the form on our contact page.

What do you mean by a 'day time' school of supernatural ministry?

The day time SSM will run on Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Additionally, there will be a required reading list , Bible reading programme and short homework assignments. It is expected that students will attend during these times and complete the reading and homework requirements. Outside the school environment there will be other activities that will help activate the learning.

What are the school hours?

9.30am - 5.30pm, Thursday and Friday.

What are the school dates?

The school year will run from 20th September 2012 - 24th May 2013; approximately 30 weeks with breaks at Christmas and Easter.

Where is the school?

We are in the process of building our own premises near the new Eurostar Terminal at Ebbsfleet in Gravesend. In the meantime, the school will be located in the church offices in New Ash Green. See our location page for a map.

Who can apply?

The school is open to adult Christians from all denominations and we believe the supernatural lifestyle should be the 'natural' lifestyle for all Christians. Please see the application page for more information.

Can I still be involved in my local church?

Yes, if you live within daily traveling distance of the school. If you live further away this may be impractical and we would expect that you would want to become part of the NKCC family. If you have specific responsibilities at your church that may affect school attendance or reading/homework please get in touch to discuss this.

What about childcare?

We are unable to provide any childcare. Those with children would need to make their own arrangements. It might be possible for young babies to accompany a parent but this would be at the discretion of the school leadership - please get in touch if you need to discuss this.

What about accommodation and transport?

Each student is responsible for their own living expenses including housing and transport.

Can visitors attend?

This may be possible but those wishing to visit for a day would need prior agreement from the school leadership.

What is the cost?

The school fees for the year will be £1950 (including all books for the required reading list).

The 2nd year fee will be discussed on application.

Can I work and attend the school?

We understand that students may need to work part-time to support themselves and such work could provide a valuable opportunity to put into practice what has been learnt at the school. However, wisdom will be required to maintain the correct school/work balance. Please get in touch if you wish to discuss this.

How do I apply?

Please see the information on the application page.
