School of Supernatural Ministry

“to equip and deploy followers of Jesus Christ to radically change society through a naturally supernatural lifestyle of signs and wonders”

our vision

Inspired by a similar school at Bethel Church, Redding, California the School of Supernatural Ministry launched its first term in September ’08 at NKCC’s Resources Centre. A year later, NKCC began its second year of the School, this time running in the evening and attracting over 150 students. September 2010 will see the start of NKCC's full time School of Supernatural Ministry, running alongside the evening school.

In his final words on Earth (the "Great Commission") Jesus told his disciples to spread the good news about Jesus and the Kingdom of God to all people. How were they to do it? By following the example of Jesus. The Great Commission was not just for Jesus' disciples but for all Christians and the example Jesus set was, likewise, for all Christians. But Jesus didn't just teach, preach and pray. Everywhere he went he healed the sick, performed miracles and even raised the dead. Did Jesus really mean us to do the same? Well, yes he did – he said so: “heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons”. It is our conviction that this is what Jesus wants and expects his followers to do and this is what we mean by a ‘supernatural lifestyle’.

Maybe you’re thinking this just isn't possible, humans can't do these things. Was Jesus asking the impossible? If you look at the example of his disciples and the early church, clearly not - many accounts of supernatural events are recorded. So how did Jesus do the things he did? How did his disciples do the same? Through the power of the Holy Spirit. And the Bible makes it clear that the same Holy Spirit and the same power are available to every Christian today.

So what stops us from seeing and performing the same miracles today? The answer is nothing! Or nothing that can't be overcome.

It's a question of what we believe, what we think and what we expect. To Jesus, what our society views as 'supernatural' was simply natural. Somehow our faith and expectations have become shaped by our society rather than by Jesus' example and the teaching of the Bible.

the impact of large numbers of people who live like this, like Jesus lived. We need to re-educate and re-train ourselves so that the supernatural things Jesus did become the things we do naturally. We should be naturally supernatural!

Before I attended the School I had little experience of hearing from God, now it is an everyday experience.”

Gordon – church leader

"I have encountered God in new and intimate ways. It’s a great place to practice the prophetic. Treasure hunts encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, prophesying over people and seeing them healed.”

Claire - worship leader

“The School changed me, it enlarged my vision of God and his Kingdom. From being scared of approaching others I now feel confident to speak pray and prophesy to them. The School is just fantastic!"

Jonathan - French student

"Amazing experience, exceeded my expectations. Knowing my royal identity in God has given me strength and courage in everyday life."

Karen - housewife
