For Parents Print

Your heavenly father is so interested in and concerned with how you raise your children.

They are his gift to you.  A blessing to you, to those around you and to Him, abba father.

…Our sons in their youth
will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace.

Psalm 144

He has plans for their lives. Plans where they will take all you’ve taught them, take all you’ve shown them and take all they’ve experienced with you, they will take these batons and run further than you have ever hoped or dreamed of in your lifetime.

Impress them (God’s heart) on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 6:7

You are their greatest influence when they are young. Don’t let this be a daunting fact but lean on your heavenly father to teach and support you on how to reach, teach and support your children. There will be amazing highs on this journey and if there are lows, know that God’s mercies are new every morning. Each new day brings more strength and wisdom and grace for you and your family. You are never alone in this.

At NKCC we recognize all of the above and we see what happens on a Sunday in children's work is an accompaniment to all the hard work you put in at home. If your children have any stories or questions or thoughts that they would like to share with us on a Sunday we would love to listen and chat to them

In the Parenting World Changers and Useful Resources pages you will find ideas and resources that you may find helpful in your very important role of parenting your amazing World Changers!!!
