Fireflies Print

Fireflies’ crèche is for babies and toddlers from birth to reliably potty-trained (around 3yrs).

Crèche is open from 10.30am - 12.15pm

We aim to provide a caring and safe place for your little ones to be introduced to church life and the love of Jesus. The key themes running through each Sunday morning are sharing and saying thank you, we also have different activities planned which support the church ethos.

Fireflies is staffed by crb checked adults who have been approved by the NKCC leadership team. We operate a small ratio of 1 adult to 3 children with additional eyes, ears and hands in the form of our youth servers.  This may mean that if we have a busy morning there are not enough servers for you to leave your child in crèche however you are more than welcome to stay with your child and use the facility.

Feel free to stay with your child until you are confident that they are settled and be assured that servers will call you out of the meeting if your child becomes upset.

Each week, children are offered a snack – usually biscuits but occasionally fruits.  We ask children to bring their own drinks, but do have water available for those who do not have a drink with them.  Please ensure that the team are aware of any allergies so that we can give the best possible care to your child.

Children not in nappies will normally be required to use a potty as we do not have toilets within easy reach.

Please understand that we CANNOT take any child that has had sickness, diarrhoea, (except where you are sure its teething related) or head lice within the last 24 hours.

The teams want to ensure that the whole family feels supported through our work and hope that you will share with us anything that we need to know.
