Over 2 million people in the UK have now attended an Alpha Course, a relaxed and informal way of exploring the Christian faith. Our 2009 course has now finished and, in the future, we will be adopting a new way of running Alpha - 'Alpha on Demand'. The information below explains more about this change and if you would like to know more please get in touch - we would love to hear from you.

Alpha on Demand
Instead of only running Alpha at set times of the year we will run Alpha as and when required. This could lead to more than one Alpha Course running concurrently or possibly staggered Alpha Courses, depending on the demand. The aim is to provide more flexibility in the way Alpha is planned and run.

The information below shows what a typical launch event and Alpha Course are like.

With music, drinks and light refreshments the Alpha Launch Event is a relaxed and informal evening that explains what the forthcoming Alpha Course is all about.

NKCC's Brian Smith and David Webster will be speaking, sharing some of their own experience of the Christian faith and setting the scene for the Alpha Course.

There's no hard sell and no obligation so why not come along and see what Alpha is all about - it'll be a great evening and you've got nothing to lose!

Each of the 10 Alpha sessions has a talk about a particular aspect of the Christian faith such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why did Jesus die?". After a break for refreshments there's an opportunity to discuss that topic in small groups.

There's no hard sell and there are no right or wrong questions - each session is simply an opportunity to explore the Christian faith and ask anything you like.
